Major trunk roads to
Ipswich are the A12 from London and the South, and the A14 from the Midlands and the
North.
Train
Trains from London Liverpool Street reach Ipswich in just over an hour.
The main East Coast Line (serving the North of England and Scotland) connects with an
Ipswich service at Peterborough.
Bus
Ipswich Railway Station is a few minutes walk from
the town centre and just two minutes by bus. Ipswich Buses' terminus (Tower Ramparts)
and First Eastern Counties Bus and Coach Station (Cattle Market) are both conveniently
situated in the town centre, next to the main pedestrianised area.
Ipswich park & ride
Three park and ride services operate - from the west of the town (A14),
the south-west (A12/A14) junction and the east (A12/A1214 junction). The services run from
Monday to Saturday 7am-7pm.
