This years Short Story competition was launched at last nights writers cafe. The theme this year is ‘Safe’ and entries are open to all in the following age categories:

Calling all Music Day applicants
The Music Day commitee are meeting up on Wednesday 18th March to trawl through over 200 applications and CD’s that have been sent in, to decide who makes the line up to perform at Ipswich Music Day 2009. This is the largest number of applications we have ever had and we’re thrilled that you all want to be part of Ipswich Music Day.
Make sure you check the website on Monday 20th April as we’ll upload the final list of performers to the downloads page.

Ipswich Music Day- Sunday 5th July 2009.
Well the last few weeks we have been inundated with so so many applications for Music Day, we can hardly believe it! A staggering amount have been sent in…and they just keep on coming. I don’t think we’ve ever had as many! What a great response, we’re really chuffed that so many people want to play at the festival- but it’s not suprising as it is such an amazing day! So thank to all those bands who have taken the time to apply- and so professionally too!
Just a reminder to those of you who want to play but are yet to hand your applciation in- we need it by Monday 2nd March please! Yes that’s this coming Monday! We sadly can’t accept any after this date as the Music Day commitee are soon to meet up and sort through them all. Applications are available from the downloads page and we need a CD, band biog and tech spec- and remember it’s open to DJs and solo artists too!

Hello and welcome! This brand new and very shiny blog will keep you updated on the latest news and views from the Ip-art festival team- so if you enjoy the arts, dance, drama, poetry, film, music and summer festival fun, this is the only blog you need to read, to keep you entertained this summer!
We’re currently programming the festival, so any potential events are kept as closely guarded secrets until further notice!
However you can still apply to take part and run your own event with us in Ip-art until the end of January- and you can also still apply to play at Music day - both applications downloadable from the website!
