17 years ago, the first Ipswich Music Day took place in Christchurch Park…………yes, 1991 saw the birth of what is now the largest, free, one-day music event in the East of England. Through the years, the biggest family day out in Ipswich has expanded and developed and today you can enjoy terrific entertainment offered on no less than six separate stages in the park, plus music in the nearby Key Coffee Shop and St Margaret’s Church.

Craft Stalls, a children’s fairground and food concessions complement the best in local music talent, as all come to perform in the perfect park surroundings. With every musical taste catered for, explore the park this Ip-art Festival Music Day, find something you like and relax, listening to the best of jazz, soul, blues, rock, classical, punk, dance, rap………..The list goes on and best of all, it’s free to get in!
